The Albion Foundation Dalai Lama Himalayan Trek

The Albion Foundation Dalai Lama Himalayan Trek

In September 2026, a group of fundraisers will be trekking over 80km through the rugged landscape of the foothills of the Himalayas, reaching heights of over 3000m and camping along the way, all to raise vital funds for The Albion Foundation to continue their award winning community work.

After arriving in Delhi, the adventurous trekkers will endure a challenging overnight train journey to the north of India, arriving in Chakki Bank before a further 3 hour transfer to Dharamsala, the home of the Dalai Lama. After a day of acclimatisation, the 80km trek begins, where any remnants of home comforts will be left behind.

Once the trek has been completed, they will return to Delhi on the overnight train and visit the iconic Taj Mahal, continuing the ‘Wonders of the World’ theme of Albion Foundation challenges, having previously trekked to The Great Wall of China, Machu Picchu and The Lost City of Petra.

Your donations towards this challenge to support The Albion Foundation are very much appreciated!
